A section of Siaya County leaders allied to the opposition have pour scorn on the Deputy President visit in Bondo Constituency over the weekend. Led by Parliament Minority Leader Jakoyo Midiwo, the visit brought more impairment than blessings. “Their plan is to divide us. We know them.” said Midiwo. The leaders have blamed the government for not incorporating them in Ruto’s visit citing mischief.

In another meeting, nominated MP Oburu Odinga also disparaged the visit. The remarks by Ruto over the last general elections appear to have irritated him. Oburu warned the Dp of belittling the opposition leader Raila Odinga in his political melodrama. “Stop mentioning Raila everywhere you go lest you want to see our fury.” He said. Nevertheless, he didn’t forget to mention on Weston Hotel which the Dp owns. The MP want the Ruto to be return back the land which he terms as illegally acquired.

Elsewhere a cheerful mood engulfed Uzima University College in Kisumu on Monday. The President and the Opposition leader cooled down the political temperature when they graced the Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Arch Diocese of Kisumu. The president denied the allegations that his massive contribution towards development in the opposition backyard was motivated by the forthcoming general elections. “Am the president of Kenya and therefore it is in my mandate to serve all Kenyans equally” said the president.

However, the resident of Obunga Informal Settlement had a smile on their face after the president extended the National Youth Service program for another year. That comes amidst controversies over the 800 Million lost in what may be the novel scam to defraud the taxpayers their money.
